La iniciativa es resultado de proyecto conjunto liderado por la Gobernación del Huila, el respaldo del Ministerio de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones, y los 37 alcaldes del departamento, con una inversión de 40.300 millones de pesos.
Previa a la entrega de tabletas, se dio al servicio, nuevas zonas de cobertura Wifi gratuita frente a la Alcaldía en pleno corazón de la ciudad y a las 2:30 pm, el Ministro inaugura el ViveLab en la carrera 10 No. 3-64 del barrio El Altico.
