Las comunidades indígenas, con representación en La Minga Social y Comunitaria por la defensa de la Vida, el Territorio, la Democracia y la Paz, concentradas en el sitio Pescador de Hobo, Huila, mantienen la disciplina, el orden y el diálogo con el Gobierno Departamental, para concertar asuntos regionales.
Sin embargo, el tema central es dialogar con el Presidente de la República, para que se comprometa con soluciones concretas, planteadas dentro de una verdadera política nacional, al margen de las disyuntivas politiqueras, que inundan los estrados gubernamentales, que se c0nsideran lacias y paños de agua tibia.

El primer mandatario, no considera serios el pensamiento de la dirigencia indígena del país y ante por el contrario las desestima y al punto de considerarlas sin fundamento, fondo o contenido, apoya por publicaciones de ciertos Medios de Comunicación con Él coincidentes.
La concentración de las familias aborígenes del Huila, no generan ningún tipo de complicación a la población de la región y antes por el contrario generan simpatía de organizaciones comunitarias, que consideran justas las exigencias de los indígenas, demás, del consuetudinario incumplimiento del Poder Central a los distintos acuerdos firmados en los últimos seis quinquenios.

El Presidente de la República, Iván Duque Márquez, persiste en la negativa de asumir el debate político que panean la población indígena, en el documento de convocatoria a la minga que comenzó el 12 de octubre y mantiene la estigmatización del movimiento argumentando infiltración de grupos guerrilleros como la disidencia de las FARC y el ELN, con lo que busca desestabilizar la minga nativa, según o señala Reynel Torres, portavoz del movimiento indígena en el Departamento.
