Este costoso desplazamiento al exterior, recuerda la forma como el Director General de COOPSALUD, dilapidó a sus anchas los recursos de una empresa, con el argumento de mejorar, cuando realmente succionaba los recursos para su propio beneficio.
La Empresa EMCOSALUD que hace parte de una unión temporal, recibe millonarios recursos descontados mensualmente a cada Educador, en ejercicio o pensionado, para ser atendida su salud o prevenir la enfermedad, conforme a lo que como negocio estipula la ley Cien, eje del Sistema Nacional de Colombia.
La estructura
EMCOSALUD hace parte de una Unión Temporal conformada por: La Clínica Tolima y la Sociedad Clínica EMCOSALUD, para la atención en salud a los maestros y sus familias en la Región 1 conformada por los departamentos del Huila y Tolima.
En desarrollo del objeto del contrato, pretenden garantizar directamente o a través de redes integradas de servicios, la prestación integral del plan de atención en salud del Magisterio, las actividades de promoción y prevención y el componente asistencial de los riesgos laborales.
La cobertura de servicios se ofertó en el área geográfica denominada región 1 (Huila y Tolima) y se garantizará la prestación de servicios de baja complejidad en el municipio de residencia del afiliado y los demás niveles de complejidad a través de nuestra red de servicios, atendiendo el principio de contigüidad, dentro o fuera del Municipio, el Departamento o la región, a través de red propia o contratada, de acuerdo con la oferta existente en los centros urbanos de cada departamento.
