En inspección que adelantó la CAM detectó afectaciones ambientales al bosque y al recurso hídrico sobre 14 hectáreas en predios localizados en San Lorenzo, La Estación y la Umbría del Cerro Páramo de Miraflores zona de Gigante.
Los moradores de los predios adelantaban tala y quema de bosque para ampliar la frontera agrícola y cultivar granadilla, además utilizaban la madera para obtener estantillos, tablas, bloques y columnas.
“Este tipo de intervenciones son graves debido a que se hacen sobre áreas de importancia para la conservación del recurso hídrico, dado que aguas abajo se encuentran algunos acueductos y nacederos de la quebrada río Loro”, explicó Hernando Calderón Calderón, director Territorial Centro de la CAM.
