Con una inversión de $3.790 millones, proporcionados por la alcaldía de Palermo con $1.590 millones, La Gobernación del Huila con $700 millones y la regional de ECOPETROL con $1.500 millones, se construyó el escenario.

La construcción de 8.380 metros cuadrados, incluye: cancha de Fútbol 9 en grama sintética y graderías; cancha de vóley playa; lugar para la práctica del skate park; parque biosaludable; zonas infantiles y de mesa.

Niños, jóvenes y adultos de la Inspección de Betania en Palermo Huila, tienen, por primera vez en historia, la oportunidad de adelantar diversas actividades de integración, gracias a la puesta en funcionamiento del centro recreativo y cultural, adecuado mediante acción tripartita de entidades oficiales de la región. Los visitantes disfrutan de espacio verde con arborización; parqueadero, caseta de comidas, baterías sanitarias y oficina de Administración.

La obra que busca promover un estilo de vida saludable por medio de la recreación, la actividad física y las artes, para los más de 3 mil habitantes de la zona que no contaban con equipamientos de calidad para su desarrollo, tiene como objetivo de convertir el parque en epicentro de prácticas deportivas y actividades lúdicas y culturales para la comunidad.

La integración

Los moradores de esta región, con influencia en la labor extractora de la Empresa Colombiana de Petróleos, disfruta, por primera vez en su historiade un escenario de integración comunitaria.

“Queremos agradecer a ECOPETROL, por hacer este aporte tan importante para el desarrollo de nuestro municipio, para transformar espacios que contribuyan a la formación de nuestros niños, jóvenes, adultos mayores y para integrar a la comunidad, por medio del deporte, la recreación y generar paz en el territorio”, señaló Natalia Caviedes Chinchilla, alcaldesa de Palermo.
