Actividades para fortalecer los grupos asociativos donde la mujer cumple un papel importante realiza el Comité Departamental de Cafeteros del Huila, de la mano con su director Ejecutivo Jorge Enrique Montenegro Polanía.
Por esta razón, las representantes de las mujeres cafeteras del Huila: Yolanda Ramírez Olaya y Magali Eugenia Cubillos, junto a la Dirección Ejecutiva, realizan actividades para consolidar los grupos asociativos de mujeres cafeteras.
“En compañía del Dr. Montenegro, hemos venido haciendo un trabajo muy significativo en la zona norte del Huila, ya que en esta zona no estaban fortalecidos los grupos. Ya hemos ido a Colombia, Algeciras, Tarqui y pensamos cubrir todo el departamento del Huila, buscando la forma de que la mujer se asocie o de fortalecer los grupos ya conformados”, expresó la señora Yolanda.
El objetivo principal es que el Huila siga siendo líder en el modelo de asociatividad, debido a que la caficultura está centralizada en los pequeños productores y es la asociatividad lo que les ha permitido a los cafeteros obtener recursos de entidades gubernamentales y acceder a tecnologías que les ayuda a mantener una excelente calidad en el grano y evitar la contaminación ambiental.
Visión empresarial
Desde hace muchos años la mujer ha sido pieza fundamental en la cadena productiva del café, es por ello, que el Comité Departamental de Cafeteros del Huila y sus Representantes le apuestan a su fortalecimiento empresarial, de modo que ella también pueda aportar para la economía de su hogar.
“Buscamos resaltar la labor de la mujer en la producción del café, para que se sienta también importante y pueda aportar a su hogar lo necesario. No queremos independizarla del esposo, de ninguna manera, queremos fortalecerlas, porque fortaleciendo la mujer hay mejor calidad de vida familiar”, expresó la señora Yolanda.
Actualmente el trabajo en los municipios cafeteros del Huila se enfoca en grupos asociativos de mujeres que desean capacitación y fortalecimiento, para que así puedan tener mayores oportunidades frente a programas y proyectos del estado; además, las mujeres unidas, lograrían mayor mitigación del impacto ambiental y lograrían jalonar mayores recursos del estado.
“Nosotros las mujeres cafeteras tenemos que demostrar lo valiosas y trabajadoras que somos… las invito a que nos organicemos o a integrar grupos asociativos ya conformados… Si requieren nuestra presencia allá estaremos apoyándolas”, expresó la Representante de las mujeres cafeteras.
