“hermano, los derechos”…dice una reducida parte de las prolíficas letras que el célebre Jamaiquino Bob Marley interpretaba a ritmo de Reggae (no reguetón), e inspirado más que por una restringida yerba, por el ideario de que la sociedad debe entender que más que tener los derechos, y de que se encuentren otorgados en leyes, o constituciones, es la posibilidad de reclamarlos para que se hagan efectivos, y de esta manera se logre la realización de quienes son sus titulares, y la materialización por parte de quien debe por principio cumplirlos, El Estado.
Al fin de cuentas, el Estado tiene por tarea hacer, o al menos lograr en lo máximo posible, realizables lo que nuestra carta de navegación tiene establecido. Para eso nos ponemos de acuerdo como Nación, para identificarnos en nuestras causas, identificar nuestros propósitos, reconocernos como pueblos y como culturas. Justicia social, igualdad material, paz, sin ponerle ni quitarle apelativos, son aspiraciones (valores) que nos deben motivar, como ciudadanos buscando llegar a esos fines, y el Estado con toda su estructura, apuntando a que cada vez más sea el puerto al que debemos llegar.
Luchar por los derechos que están establecidos en esa Carta Política, es ejercer plenamente la condición de ciudadano, es entender un sentido de deber que como comunidad nos merece impulsar todos. Es nacionalismo puro, no comunismo a ultranza, es solidaridad en su esencia, no capricho de quien busca la anarquía. Al fin de cuentas ya lo dijo Marley, los derechos son para reclamarlos no para recitarlos. Cuando nos ponemos de acuerdo para que el deber del Estado se materialice, no es para defender una ideología política, es más bien para reflexionar sobre su no realización, y entonces se debe hacer el llamado al encausamiento para su efectividad.
Nada mas esperanzador que el común reaccione, y reflexione sobre lo bien, regular, o mal que un Estado o un gobernante, está ejerciendo su labor. Por eso es que más que cualquier otro elemento, es guardar respeto por quien o quienes desean expresar su inconformidad con formas legítimas. Marchar es legítimo, protestar no más allá del deber de no desconocer los derechos de los demás, es parte del ejercicio ciudadano. Esta es una expresión válida, como también podrá ser del que considera que hay otras formas de protestar, no necesariamente saliendo a las calles. Así las cosas, el dilema no es salir o no salir, más bien es tener la convicción del por qué salgo, o por qué no. En uno u otro sentido, la gente tiene derecho. A lo que no hay derecho es a ninguna expresión de violencia, venga de donde venga, a lo que tampoco hay derecho es a seguir aletargados esperando que algún extraterrestre venga a salvarnos.
