“En febrero, la inflación anual disminuyó por séptimo mes consecutivo y se situó en 5,18%. Las expectativas de inflación de los analistas para diciembre de 2017 y 2018 disminuyeron y se sitúan en 4,49% y 3,6% respectivamente. Aquellas derivadas de los papeles de deuda pública también se redujeron y están cerca del 3% para finales de 2018”, precisó el Banco Emisor.
La principal variable de la disminución del costo de vida son los alimentos, que, gracias a las políticas del Gobierno Nacional de aumentar la oferta, han permitido bajar sus precios para beneficio de todos los colombianos.
La Junta Directiva del Banco de la República consideró que una reducción de 25 puntos básicos se encuentra en línea con el balance de riesgos y consistente con el objetivo de llegar a la meta de inflación de 3% en 2018.
