El segundo informe del Estudio de Solidaridad 2020 que realizó PROFAMILIA, revela que de cada 10 colombianos a 8 les preocupa el COVID-19 no sea controlada en el país.
La encuesta realizada entre el 1 y el 11 de septiembre de 2020, cuando inició el aislamiento selectivo, evidencia que la población, aumentó medidas de autocuidado para proteger tanto su salud como de la comunidad.
“Se reportaron cambios positivos en todas las medidas no farmacológicas para controlar el contagio del COVID-19: aumentó un 29% el número de personas que evitaron a otras con síntomas asociados al virus (de 42% a 71%); creció en un 20% la cantidad de personas que aseguraron haber suspendido viajes (de 47% al 67%). De igual manera, se registró un incremento de 11% entre quienes evitaron salir a eventos sociales (de 73% a 84%) y en un 10%, las personas que procuraron no usar el transporte público (de 62% a 72%).
También se reportaron cambios significativos en los comportamientos relacionados con la higiene: creció en un 27% el uso del tapabocas para salir a la calle (de 67% a 95%); en un 8% aumentó la práctica del lavado de manos y el uso de desinfectantes (de 80% a 88%). El informe también destaca que se adoptaron nuevas medidas de protección como el cambio de ropa de regreso a casa (66%) y el lavado y la correcta desinfección de los artículos nuevos que se llevan al hogar (80%)”, de acuerdo con el informe entregado por PROFAMILIA.
La encuesta se realizó en línea a través de la plataforma digital SurveyMonkey durante las dos primeras semanas de septiembre, con una muestra de 1.735 personas que viven en el país.
Del total de encuestados, el 17% hizo parte de la primera Encuesta de Solidaridad, que reveló la preocupación de los jóvenes frente al aislamiento.
