El Huila contribuyó con el 8% del capital que en créditos se han otorgado en el Departamento, como alternativa para enfrentar la crisis financiera del sector productor, derivada de la pandemia que genera el COVID-19.
Ese porcentaje lo representan $32 mil millones prestados por intermedio del Fondo de Reactivación Económica, ideado por la administración Departamental, con apoyo del sector privado.
Desde la creación este Fondo vela por el bienestar de medianas y pequeñas empresas con alivios financieros que gestionó y articuló a través de las Cooperativas de la región.

Un reporte reciente señala que alrededor de 2.900 operaciones fueron realizadas en los últimos 8 meses, con destino a financiar microempresas y algunos empresarios medianos que acogieron la estrategia financiera regional.
Un informe entregado por el gerente del Instituto Financiero del Huila señala:
El Huila, ubicado en el décimo lugar en desembolsos para microempresarios a nivel nacional, se posiciona como uno de los mejores departamentos de acuerdo a su población total, en comparación con ciudades capitales como Bogotá, Medellín y Cali que cuentan con mayor número de personas.

«Quienes están por encima de nosotros corresponden al distrito capital como Bogotá, Atlántico, Antioquía, Medellín, Valle del Cauca y el Meta, con su potencial de ganado», aseguró Rodríguez Parra.
De igual manera, el Gerente de INFIHUILA agregó que el departamento está clasificado como uno de los mejores en colocación de créditos, por lo que el balance es positivo y evidencia el compromiso del Gobierno Departamental en la imperante necesidad de la reactivación económica.
En cuanto al apoyo a todas las entidades públicas descentralizadas del Departamento, el propósito es brindar respaldo mediante créditos de inversión y créditos de tesorería que permitan solucionar sus dificultades de liquidez económica en momentos coyunturales como la Pandemia.

Los recursos del fondo regional aún pueden ser solicitados por los empresarios que los requieran con amplias facilidades y con un plazo muy significativo-
Esos recursos están en el Banco Agrario, BANCOLDEX, la banca privada, cooperativas como UTRAHUILCA, COOFISAM Y COOPEAIPE.
