La ampliación de cobertura del servicio de energía mediante la conexión a viviendas urbanas y rurales en el Huila, para superar el 98,66% existe, una de las principales acciones del sector eléctrico regional.
Para alcanzar esa meta, la Electrificadora del Huila invierte, desde el 2021, $2.300 millones, con los que interconectará cerca de 1.415 viviendas
Hasta el momento ELECTROHUILA ha implementado, en familias de estratos 1 y 2 del área urbana y rural más de 500 conexiones, en Palestina, Saladoblanco, Pitalito, Elías, San Agustín, Isnos, Oporapa, Timaná, Pital, Agrado, Garzón, Gigante, Suaza, Tarqui, Tello, Guadalupe, Paicol, y La Plata.

Para la instalación de estas acometidas domiciliarias se debe cumplir las normas del Reglamento Técnico de Instalaciones Eléctricas del Ministerio de Minas y Energía – RETIE –, donde se prevé el riesgo eléctrico en la comunidad

Las viviendas del área urbana o rural para acceder al proyecto, deben estar en predios legalizados y ubicados en zonas cercanas a las redes de distribución.
“Queremos abarcar todas las zonas del Departamento con este proyecto que tiene un enfoque de Responsabilidad Social y que apunta también a nuestros indicadores de cobertura del servicio energía para la región” dijo Luis Ernesto Luna Ramírez, Gerente General de ELECTROHUILA
Los hogares que pueden acceder a estos beneficios necesariamente deben pertenecer a los estratos 1 y 2 del área urbana y rural del Departamento.
