Decía el expresidente Alvaro Uribe para justificar su infame intervención contra el país, que no contra el gobierno de Santos, constitutiva de verdadera traición a la patria en la cuna de la democracia en un foro sobre Desarrollo Sostenible realizado en Atenas – que promueve la colaboración entre gobiernos y entidades  para crear oportunidades que mejoren el futuro de las naciones -, que su deber, tanto en Colombia como en cualquier lugar del mundo es “contradecir al gobierno para expresar que nuestra patria ha sido una democracia respetable y unos grupos narcoterroristas que la han enfrentado, caso muy diferente a las dictaduras latinoamericanas”.

No deja de ser cínica la iracunda  intervención vengativa de Uribe contra Santos, hablando de democracia satanizando el país que él gobernó, para que contrario a la finalidad del foro de contribuir a crear oportunidades fomentando la inversión en Colombia, se despachara con mendacidades contra el proceso de paz citando el aumento del narcotráfico y la extorsión que ya nada tienen que ver con las Farc que se encuentran desmovilizadas y entregando armas con verificación de la ONU; al mejor estilo que él mismo le censurara como presidente a Piedad Córdoba, cuando lo sindicó en el exterior de “mafioso, paramilitar y asesino”.

Y es que Uribe entiende a conveniencia por democracia, el hecho de que tengamos  elecciones contaminadas  que nos han permitido hasta  tener un presidente elegido con los dineros del narcotráfico como ocurrió con Samper, y con la influencia del narcoparamilitarismo como ocurrió en su caso, pero no democracia como una doctrina política para una sociedad fincada en el respeto a los derechos humanos y a la protección de las libertades civiles y la igualdad de oportunidades que no tuvimos en su  espurio  gobierno producto de volver trizas la Constitución a punta de cohechos para asegurar su reelección.

Afirma Uribe que nuestra precaria democracia es respetable muy diferente a las dictaduras latinoamericanas porque tenemos elecciones pervertidas, cuando desde el punto de vista del respeto a los derechos humanos hemos sido peores que en las dictaduras, como lo dijera la Sala de Conocimiento de Justicia y Paz del Tribunal Superior de Medellín en una  providencia emblemática citada por el ex presidente  de la Corte Suprema de Justicia Yesid Ramírez Bastidas en su destacada obra “ El Control de Garantías en el Proceso Penal”, planteando el interrogante de: “…¿cómo el régimen político colombiano ha podido conservar una apariencia democrática, a pesar de padecer una de las tragedias humanitarias más graves del mundo en los últimos 30 años y sin lugar a dudas la más grave de América Latina en ese período, superior a las vividas en Argentina y Chile en los años 70?  ¿Cómo el gobierno ha podido seguir funcionando con elecciones aparentemente libres, con cambio de presidente y alternación de los partidos, con promoción y vigencia de las leyes, como cualquier régimen democrático, y vivir con las más graves de las violaciones a los derechos humanos y al derecho internacional humanitario a todo lo largo y ancho de la geografía nacional?”. Juzguen ustedes la mendacidad de Uribe.
