El festival del San Pedro previsto para finales de junio en Neiva, pero que comenzó a desarrollarse en la región desde la última semana de abril, es uno solo y no se puede dividir, aseguró tanto el Gobernador del Huila, Carlos Julio González Villa, como el alcalde de Neiva Rodrigo Armando Lara Sánchez.
Los dos mandatarios, entregaron esta visión, al hacer público el programa oficial del Quincuagésimo Sétimo Festival Folclórico, Reinado Nacional del Bambuco y Muestra Internacional del Folclor, que se ejecutará este año, en las dos últimas semanas de junio, en la capital del Huila.
Tanto González Villa como Lara Sánchez, consideran que la versión del festival del 2017, superará a la del año pasado, porque se corregirán inconvenientes, se aplicarán correctivos, y se introducirán innovaciones, para que las fiestas sean un atractivo para propios y una aliciente para atraer a turistas nacional.
El festejo sampedrino del 2016 registró 240 mil visitantes, un 90% de la hotelería del Huila ocupada y un 98% de los hoteles de neivanos utilizada, que evidencian el atractivo que tienen para los colombianos, acotó el Gobernador del Huila.
Dentro de las innovaciones está el uso del Parque de La música “Jorge Villamil Cordovez” como escenario para las presentaciones folclóricas y culturales, con una capacidad para 7 mil espectadores; desfile “Identidad Regional” con la participación de mil artistas regionales y la vinculación de COMFAMILIAR del Huila, que invertirá más de 500 millones en cuatro certámenes del programa oficial, incluido el festival del San Pedro para los trabajadores el 30 de junio.
