La iniciativa llevó a organizar de interesante concurso en Pitalito Huila, para motivar el fortalecimiento de la tradición regional, pese que públicamente no se festeja, como ha sido habitual en el centro del cono sur huilense.
La idea es elaborar video que muestre el arreglo de casa con motivos del San Pedro o un video que muestre la elaboración y consumo de comidas típicas sanpedrina o un video donde un veterano cuente como se festejaba el san Pedro años atrás o como vive la familia este festejo durante la actual pandemia. La iniciativa es de origen privado y se logró, gracias a la persistencia del joven Juan David Palomares, que la coordinación cultural de Pitalito lo acogiera, tal como se observa en el siguiente video.
