Aunque el Pacto Histórico propuesto por Gustavo Petro Urrego se viene fortaleciendo con el apoyo de muchas corrientes democráticas que quieren para Colombia un cambio que traiga la paz definitiva, terminar la violencia, cambiar el modelo neoliberal por otro de desarrollo incluyente, hacer el tránsito hacia las energías limpias, no contaminantes y depredadoras de la naturaleza, recuperar el empleo productivo y conquistar altos niveles de equidad social, en ese fangoso centro indefinido de quienes le temen al cambio, siempre quedará un sector que al final o se alía con la derecha en la defensa del statu quo, o se mantiene independiente para no contaminarse de extremismos.

Petro está muy lejos de cualquier extremismo de izquierda. La propaganda de “castro/chavista” no pasa de ser eso, una propaganda al estilo de la que practicaron nazis y fascistas en la Europa de la II guerra mundial, convencidos de que una mentira repetida millones de veces se vuelve verdad.
Si tuviéramos que comparar el programa del Pacto Histórico con otro, ser parecería más al de los radicales liberales de Rionegro de 1863, o al de Alfonso López Pumarejo de 1934, 0 incluso al de Lleras Restrepo en 1966, que al de Fidel en Cuba o al de Maduro en Venezuela.
Petro le ha hecho propuestas reiteradas a la Alianza Verde, a la Coalición de la Esperanza, a los Liberales y al Nuevo Liberalismo, para acordar un programa de unidad y realizar una consulta interpartidista en las elecciones de marzo del 2022, que permita definir un candidato único a la primera vuelta presidencial de mayo al que todos los participantes apoyarían.

Si Sergio Fajardo, Jorge Robledo y Alejandro Gaviria, temen que él les pueda ganar esa consulta, deberían unirse en torno a un solo nombre para que lo enfrentara. Pero si se niegan a la unidad, el país sabrá que su propósito no es otro que la defensa del statu quo y mantener el país en el desorden y la crisis que hoy vive.
En este caso la unidad habrá que buscarla en torno al Pacto histórico, como ya lo han hecho los 15 partidos y movimientos que en la actualidad lo integran, las 30 organizaciones sociales de carácter nacional que lo respaldan y los sectores de los partidos tradicionales que se han desprendido de ellos para integrarse a la nueva fuerza como Roy Barreras y Armando Benedetti que salieron de la U., Luis Fernando Velazco, Clara López y Piedad Córdoba que salieron del liberalismo, o incluso el importante sector del Verde que propone con decisión la unidad.
