La creación y puesta en funcionamiento del Observatorio ambiental, uno de los ejes del plan de acción de la Fundación “Comité Cívico Rio Las Ceibas”, aprobado en la primera reunión del 2017 de esta organización que cumple más de 3 años de trabajo persistente y voluntario de un grupo de voceros de la sociedad huilense.
Ese plan lo constituyen además 12 ejes que enmarcan acciones concretas para persistir en la conservación de recursos naturales que tienen que ver con la cuenca del río Las Ceibas, que provee de agua a los habitantes de Neiva.
