El gobierno del Huila, hará el lanzamiento del Quincuagésimo Octavo Festival Nacional del Bambuco y muestra internacional del Folclor, el 30 de mayo, en la Plaza de Bolívar de Bogotá.
Por intermedio de la Secretaría de Cultura y Turismo, organiza un programa especial, para mostrar a los capitalinos, detalles del programa oficial que desarrollará este año, para festejar el San Pedro en Neiva, como es tradicional desde hacer 58 años.
La programación se ajustará al desarrollo del Campeonato mundial de Fútbol, pero mantendrá las características fundamentales que caracterizan la tradición de la población huilense, interesada en mostrar sus costumbres vernáculas y las distintas expresiones folclórico-culturales que enmarcan esta región del país.
