La candidata de Risaralda, al Reinado Nacional del Bambuco y Muestra Internacional del Folclore en Neiva, María José Sánchez Carvajal, al ser asignada para esa representación, hace 7 meses, se propuso, dejar para la memoria algo concreto, plasmado en el documento «Anhelos, al compás de un Sanjuanero».
Para lograr este propósito, junto con la de ofrecer una muy buena representación y honrar el baile y la tradición del Sanjuanero, patrimonio del pueblo huilense y orgullo de los colombianos, emprendió con su equipo de trabajo, la colaboración de Samuel Lagos, productor y cómplice y Nelson Osorio el parejo oficial, el proceso de preparación hasta llegar a la semana final del evento.
El documento completo estará listo después de la elección y coronación de la soberana nacional del Bambuco 2019.
“Si los huilenses me honran con ser su Reina, espero además llevarlo por el mundo para mostrar lo grande que es este pueblo y sus tradiciones y lo serio que es el proceso para llegar a ser Reina del más importante evento folclórico del país: el Reinado Nacional del Bambuco” precisó, María José Sánchez Carvajal.

Bien interesante el trabajo de la joven de risaraldanse, si se tiene en cuenta que, las aspirantes que llegan a Neiva, provenientes de los Departamentos país, por el Cetro y la Corona de Soberana Nacional del Bambuco, una vez concluido el certamen, desaparecen sin dejar rastro.
La presencia de estas jóvenes en la capital huilense, se limita a fugaces presentaciones protocolarias, para alagar a encopetados y a un público local desprevenido, pero nada de cultura, folclore, turismo, arte, tradición e información.
Las memorias anuales, de cada jornada sampedrina, no las consulta nadie, ni las utilizan, ni las tienen en cuenta y menos tienen un valor documental, de ahí que la intensión de María José, sea muy significativa.
