El 14 de septiembre, en el marco del programa Colombia Siembra Paz, liderado por el Ministerio de Agricultura, la Autoridad Nacional de Acuicultura y Pesca (AUNAP), entregará 540.000 alevinos a 100 beneficiarios en las instalaciones de la Centro de Integración Comunitaria en el barrio la Villa en la cabecera municipal de Gigante, Huila.
Adicionalmente, se adjudicarán tres proyectos de geomembrana con tecnología de biofloc en los municipios de Yaguará, Campoalagre y Hobo, cada uno está conformado por seis estanques de doce metros de diámetro para lograr una producción de cinco toneladas mensuales de tilapia que beneficiará a unas diez familias por proyecto.
“Con estas entregas queremos incentivar la acuicultura como una alternativa real para ampliar la oferta alimentaria en el país, contribuyendo a la seguridad alimentaria, creación de fuentes permanentes de empleo y estímulo al desarrollo regional”, señaló Otto Polanco Rengifo, Director General de la AUNAP.
‘Colombia Siembra Paz’, es el resultado de un proceso de investigación, planeación y concertación, de la mano de productores, industriales, gremios y entidades públicas del sector, que se ha propuesto ampliar en un millón de hectáreas las áreas sembradas del país en el año 2018.
Es así que la AUNAP, dentro de sus acciones misionales, potencializa la actividad pesquera y acuícola de los pequeños productores del departamento del Huila, a través del acompañamiento técnico y la entrega de alevinos.
En el marco del programa ‘Colombia Siembra Paz’ se busca crear un ambiente favorable para impulsar las inversiones que se requieren en las nuevas áreas, paquetes tecnológicos, soluciones de agua, infraestructura, maquinaria, investigación y transferencia tecnológica.
Por esta razón la AUNAP, en los próximos días hará entrega de varias dotaciones tecnológicas que le permitan a los acuicultores mejorar su productividad y aumentar la oferta de sus productos para el país y de esta manera garantizar la seguridad alimentaria.
