El Huila cuenta con 70 Reservas Naturales de la Sociedad Civil -, RNSC – y 50 más se encuentran en proceso de registro, revela informe Corporación Autónoma Regional del Alto Magdalena, autoridad ambiental encargada de la identificación y certificación correspondiente.
Las Reservas Naturales de la Sociedad Civil –RNSC – son predios que por decisión autónoma de sus propietarios, los convierten en reservas naturales para la protección de un ecosistema o hábitat, bajo parámetros de conservación, restauración y producción sostenible.
Estas RNSC se ubican en La Plata, Santa María, Palestina, Acevedo y La Argentina, pero existen 64 nuevas iniciativas en otros municipios.
El año pasado fueron caracterizados 31 y 74 recibieron acompañamiento de la CAM precisa el informe.

La Corporación en aras de motivar e incentivar a los propietarios de las parcelas convertidas en reservas, entregó herramientas, palas, canecas, alambre de púa y liso para cerramientos y cercados eléctricos, a 13 familias seleccionadas en las 70 reservas existentes en el sur.
Estos materiales facilitarán el funcionamiento de sistemas productivos más sostenibles, enfocados a la integración familiar, la implementación de prácticas como la conservación de semillas nativas, diversificación de cultivos, sistemas agroforestales y sistemas silvopastoriles.
