El documento ”Pacto por la vida y la paz en el territorio” remitido a diferentes entidades oficiales e instituciones de paz del país y del exterior, elaborado por organizaciones de base, tras el análisis del informe presentado por la oficina Derechos Humanos de las Naciones Unidas en Colombia, se hizo público en el Huila y entregado al Gobierno seccional.
El informe de ONU ratifica la ausencia de una presencia integral del Estado en las regiones afectadas por el conflicto armado de manera más profunda y, muestra las evidencias que indican como los hechos violentos ocurren en las zonas donde la presencia del Estado es insuficiente y los municipios presentan los mayores niveles de pobreza multidimensional.
El Pacto por la vida y la paz en el territorio, resulta muy preocupante las cerca de 1000 amenazas y agresiones contra personas defensoras de Derechos Humanos, estando dentro de los más violentados los hombres, las mujeres y población LGTBI, lo mismo que las casi 450 violaciones a los derechos humanos contra Periodistas con lo que se atentan directamente contra la libertad de prensa.
