El Obispo Emérito de la Diócesis de Neiva, Monseñor Ramón Darío Molina Jaramillo, partió de su grey, luego de servir a la orientación espiritual de los norte-huilenses, entre el 19 de enero de 2001 y el 4 de febrero de 2012, cuando Su Santidad Benedito XVI, le acepta el retiro del ejercicio clerical, al frisar la edad activa permitida por la ley canónica.
Su deceso, a los 83 años de edad, en la residencia de retiro en Envigado Antioquia, acaeció el domingo 14 de octubre, pero sus restos serán colocados en la Catedral La Inmaculada de Neiva, por la condición de Obispo Emérito (Retiro voluntario, por cumplimiento de edad).
BIOGRAFÍA
Nació el 31 de agosto de 1935 en Envigado Antioquia.
Comenzó estudios eclesiásticos en el Seminario Franciscano de Cali, cursó luego estudios de Filosofía y Teología en la universidad San Buenaventura de Bogotá. Obtuvo la licenciatura en Teología Dogmática en la universidad Lateranense y en Teología Moral en la Academia Alfonsiana de Roma.
Emitió la profesión solemne en la orden de Frailes Menores el 6 de enero de1957 y fue ordenado sacerdote el 28 de octubre de 1961.
En ejercicio del ministerio presbiteral, desempeño cargos de enseñanza y otros oficios en su Congregación Religiosa: Profesor de Teología Moral y Sacramental en la universidad San Buenaventura, profesor en el Instituto de Estudios Sociales de la misma Institución Superior y Definidor Provincial.
