La obra musical Alegría del Alma mía, del compositor José Miller Trujillo, se estrenará en la apertura del Quincuagésimo Sexto Festival Folclórico, Reinado Nacional del Bambuco y Muestra Internacional, a las 5.00 p. m. del miércoles 22 de junio, en la plaza de Banderas de la Gobernación del Huila.
Esta es la primera vez en la historia del tradicional festejo sampedrino de Neiva, que en la apertura, se programe la presentación de un muestrario de la rica producción musical que tiene el Huila con la presencia física de uno de sus talentos y se dé un pequeño retoque de cultural al evento generalmente presenciado por funcionarios oficiales situados en lugares privilegiados, al estilo colonial, y un escasísimo público.
Alegría del Alma Mía, que cuenta con el concepto armónico moderno-contemporáneo,, el reparto instrumental del Maestro Jhon Henry Gutiérrez, será interpretada por la Banda Sinfónica del Huila bajo la dirección del Maestro Pablo Andrés Suárez, reveló el propio compositor, quien fue exaltado por la Alcaldía de Neiva durante la celebración de un nuevo aniversario de la fundación de la ciudad.
La presentación del compositor Miller Trujillo, este año, es lo único de la cultura musical que se ofrece en la temporada del San Pedro en Neiva, a un público amplio, dado que El Encuentro de Compositores huilenses y El Concurso de Interpretación Musical, lo único importante en materia de la cultura musical de la región dentro del programa oficial del Festival, se prescribe al recinto de la Asamblea departamental, lugar inapropiado y muy poco publicitado.
La programación sampedrina y el trabajo de CORPOSANPEDRO, se suscribe a la realización de los cuatro reinados, que por espacio de dos semanas consecutivas, se realizan en la ciudad, (Reinado Popular, Reinado Señorita Neiva, Reinado Departamental y Reinado Nacional) y en cuyos actos de proclamación finales, aflora la música foránea y la activa presentación de artistas externos, desechando todo vestigio de lo vernáculo, lo regional y lo autóctono.
Una muestra del desprecio por la música tradicional, sus compositores e intérpretes, fue la selección de la reina de los Estudiante, fastuoso programa de la Policía Nacional, en cuyo acto de elección primó el reggaetón, fuera de invadir céntricas calles citadinas con el desfile previo, al estilo de finales del siglo pasado.
