Bajo la orientación de los productores Daniela Cabrera Salazar y Abelardo Quintero, un grupo de amantes de las artes y la cultura del municipio de Pitalito realizan desde el mes de febrero un curso de producción cinematográfica en procura de realizar algunas piezas de pequeño formato que les incursionar en el séptimo arte.

Apoyados en la experiencia y conocimientos acumulados durante más de 20 años de trabajo como productor de cine y televisión de Abelardo Quintero, los asistentes han recorrido por los preliminares de la producción de cortos basados en diversos temas que tienen que ver con el folclor, la cultura, la política y otros de la cotidianidad local.

De manera paralela avanza el curso de actuación, también orientado por los dos productores de cine, quienes están empeñados en descubrir los talentos que deberán caracterizar la serie de personajes que surgen de las historias que sus pares de producción están convirtiendo en guiones de cine.

Tanto maestros como alumnos buscan dejar sentadas las bases para la conformación de la escuela de cinematografía del municipio de Pitalito, a través de la cual se formen los futuros actores, productores, directores y guionistas del valle de Laboyos.

Hasta el momento se ha logrado despertar en este pequeño grupo el interés por el cine, sus conceptos, componentes y posibilidades. Muchos de ellos ya sueñan con ver convertido en película lo que surgió como una idea, un cuento corto, un sueño o una fantasía, haciendo valer aquello de que “en el cine todo es posible, hasta lo imposible”.
