Un total de 7 ex concejales de Elías Huila, deben compadecer a una audiencia pública el 21 de abril a las 9.00 a.m. m por decisión de la Procuraduría General de la Nación, por presuntas irregularidades en la elección del Secretario General de la Corporación.
Los citados a audiencia por la Procuraduría Provincial de Garzón – Huila, son Miguel Antonio Silva Gasca, María Eugenia Bermeo Carvajal, Arbey Gamboa Piamba, Juan Carlos Losada Mendieta, Sandra Lorena Muñoz Álvarez, José Manuel Muñoz Bermeo y Eliberto Rojas Motta, quienes desempeñaron el cargo en el periodo 2016 – 2019.
El Ministerio Público señaló que aparentemente la sesión para elegir al nuevo funcionario se efectuó en una hora diferente a la fijada, sin que al parecer hubiese un acto administrativo que autorizara esa modificación.
Ese cambio en el horario habría impedido que todos los aspirantes al cargo se presentaran ante los miembros de la corporación, pues no habrían sido informados oportunamente.
Por esos hechos, el órgano de control calificó la presunta conducta de los entonces concejales como una falta grave cometida a título de culpa grave.
