Ante la situación de orden público que se presenta en Turquía, el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, a través del Consulado en Ankara, activó el protocolo para atender solicitudes de asistencia a connacionales afectados, o personas que quieran conocer el estado de sus familiares que residen allí.

En ese sentido, siendo las 9 de la noche (hora colombiana), el Consulado en Ankara ha brindado asistencia a 61 connacionales, quienes han solicitado orientación para salir del país.

Como parte del protocolo, el Consulado en Ankara está contactando a los connacionales residentes para verificar su situación, atender sus solicitudes de asistencia y brindar recomendaciones.

Frente a esta situación, la Cancillería invita a los connacionales que se encuentren en Turquía, ya sean residentes o turistas, que se abstengan de salir de sus casas y hoteles hasta que se normalice la situación. Pese a nuestros esfuerzos, y dadas las confrontaciones actuales, reiteramos que no es factible salir del país, por lo que en este momento debe primar la seguridad de los colombianos a quienes se les recomienda permanecer resguardados, lejos de manifestaciones y aglomeraciones.

El Centro Integral de Atención al Ciudadano (CIAC) del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores dispuso de todos los canales de interacción para recibir las solicitudes de asistencia de nuestros connacionales. Estos medios están habilitados las 24 horas, de lunes a domingo.
