En el 2019, 824 excombatientes lograron avanzar su formación académica a través del Modelo de Educación y Formación (MEFR), en 33 municipios del país.
Tras adelantar sus estudios en los diferentes ciclos educativos de básica primaria, media y secundaria, excombatientes de varias regiones del departamento del Huila, recibieron sus certificados de estudio que comprueban su adelanto en formación académica, dando así un paso más a la legalidad
Este logro académico fue posible con la implementación del Modelo de Educación y Formación (MEFR), iniciativa flexible de aprendizaje e incluyente, que reunió durante fines de semana, desde su implementación en el mes de julio, a excombatientes en proceso de reincorporación y reintegración, sus familias y comunidad, fortaleciendo de esta manera el tejido social a través de la reconciliación.
“No deja de sentir uno dicha por cada peldaño que avanza para construir una mejor vida. Hoy agradezco a todas las personas e instituciones que me han apoyado para permitirme terminar mis estudios y así demostrarle a la sociedad, y a mí mismo, que se puede salir adelante y ser cada día mejor lejos de las armas y la guerra”, afirmó José Vélez, excombatiente de las Farc-Ep en proceso de reincorporación y emprendedor, quien finalizó su grado décimo de bachillerato.
De acuerdo a lo señalado por Eduardo Londoño, coordinador de la Agencia para la Reincorporación y la Normalización en el Huila “el Modelo, además de su sistema académico con metodologías flexibles, tiene un componente de formación en el proyecto de vida, el cual integra la exploración de talento y la formación a partir de los intereses de cada uno de los beneficiarios, donde el proceso educativo se orienta a la formación productiva con acompañamiento del SENA”.
UNA FERIA DE TALENTOS
Los estudiantes del Modelo de Educación y Formación, MEFR, demostraron sus habilidades desarrolladas en una Feria de Talentos que convocó a la comunidad educativa y en general, entorno a representaciones artísticas, expresiones pedagógicas, creaciones artesanales y culinarias elaboradas por los excombatientes.
Dichos encuentros fueron realizados en los municipios de Neiva y Pitalito, donde se concentra el mayor número de población beneficiada con el modelo educativo, junto a población residente en los municipios de Baraya y Suaza.
El MEFR es un modelo de educación flexible dirigido a jóvenes y adultos. Es liderado por la Agencia para la Reincorporación y la Normalización, con el apoyo del Programa de Reintegración y Prevención de Reclutamiento (RPR) de la Agencia para el Desarrollo Internacional (USAID) y la Organización Internacional para las Migraciones (OIM).
