El Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, incluyó a Neiva, en la red de ciudades del BID de Latinoamérica, que le permite a la capital del Huila recibir un crédito de 50 millones de Dólares en la inversión de proyectos sostenibles, competitivos y amigables con el medio ambiente.
Por gestiones del alcalde Rodrigo Lara Sánchez se consiguió lo que se considera el primer paso junto con Sao Pablo, Montevideo, Santiago de Chile y Ciudad Panamá.
Las proyecciones de Neiva flas presentó en Washington el alcalde Lara Sánchez, al firmar una alianza con el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, de la que hacen parte ciudades de toda Latinoamérica y en las que se comparten experiencias que buscan el éxito y el no repetir errores de otras capitales del mundo.
“Es un crédito a muy largo plazo (20 años), con tasas de interés muy bajas. Universidades, gremios y autoridades han participado en el plan de acción de Neiva a 30 años que nos permitirá acceder a estos recursos”, aseguró el alcalde.
Entre los proyectos estaría la movilidad, medio ambiente, la recuperación de las fuentes hídricas, la recuperación del Malecón y la planificación de la ciudad.
