El Huila inició la última semana de abril con 4 muertes diarias por COVID -19 en 13 meses de penetración la pandemia al suelo nacional, de acuerdo al reporte entregado por César Alberto Polanía, Secretario de Salud Departamental.
En ese período fallecieron por la pandemia, 1.850 huilenses en distintos centros de asistencia hospitalaria, de los 53.078 casos confirmados hasta el 25 de abril. Del total de contagiados, 50.542 fueron recuperados, por el personal médico que está en primera línea de atención de la Red de Salud Pública regional.
El contagio persiste y Neiva, el centro urbano, con el mayor número tanto de casos positivos diarios como de hospitalizados en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos.

La indisciplina ciudadana que persisten en concentrarse en determinados lugares citadinos, sin el uso de los elementos de bio-protección, contribuye a mantener la transmisión del virus entre la población de todas las edades.
A lo anterior se agrega la informalidad laboral creciente, en centros de mayor densidad de población, que impulsa a la desobediencia porque el ciudadano prefiere, afrontar el peligro de contagio, y no dejar morir de hambre a los miembros de la familia.
Es ostensible el crecimiento de la indisciplina social en la ciudad, la violación al toque de queda, el aumento de comparendos y el cierre de locales en el último fin de semana de abril, reveló Fáiver Hoyos Hernández, Secretario de Gobierno de Neiva.
“Hubo 75 riñas en la vía pública, se emitieron 139 órdenes de policía de comparendos y 5 locales comerciales fueron cerrados” puntualizó Hoyos Hernández.

El Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social le remitió al Huila, a corte del 25 de abril,104.122 biológicos; La Secretaría de Salud Departamental ha remitido a los municipios103.444, logrando aplicar el 75.7%
El 24.30% de las dosis no aplicadas están en las ESEs y se inoculan una vez llegue el paciente, porque el proceso requiere un procedimiento, que semanas atrás tuvo retrasos, al parecer por falta de diligencia de las Empresas de Servicios de Salud comprometidas.
Únicamente el 35.1% de los municipios del Huila que recibieron los biológicos, los aplicaron en la totalidad: Acevedo, Colombia, Elías, Gigante, Oporapa, Pital, Rivera, Guadalupe, San Agustín, Santa María, Tesalia, Teruel y Yaguará.
El número de dosis aplicadas no corresponde al número de huilenses inoculados, muchas de esos biológicos corresponden a la segunda dosis ordenada por la autoridad de Salud.
