Yaneth Giha Tovar, ministra de Educación Nacional, reveló este miércoles que el Gobierno nacional ha hecho nuevas propuestas a la Federación Colombiana de Trabajadores de la Educación (Fecode) en las negociaciones que se reanudaron la semana pasada. Sin embargo, las conversaciones no avanzan a la velocidad que se requiere.
La Ministra insistió en que lo urgente es que Fecode levante el paro para que los 8,3 millones de niños que se están viendo afectados puedan retornar cuanto antes a las aulas de clase.
“Hemos hecho diferentes propuestas. Por ejemplo, hemos planteado dos posibles escenarios: el primero, una bonificación que beneficiaría a todos los docentes del país cada vez que cumplan un año de trabajo. El otro escenario sería una bonificación dirigida al 65 por ciento de los maestros que tienen ingresos más bajos”, explicó la ministra Giha.
El 35 por ciento restante, agregó, corresponde a los docentes del grado 14 (los más antiguos), quienes ya reciben una bonificación que se acordó hace dos años. “Es una propuesta responsable y transparente con la realidad fiscal del país. Quisiéramos dar más, sabemos que no es suficiente, pero este Gobierno ha hecho un esfuerzo enorme por mejorar las condiciones laborales de los maestros y seguirá haciéndolo”, aseguró.
La Ministra dijo que los nuevos beneficios propuestos son adicionales a los compromisos adquiridos por el Gobierno nacional en años anteriores y que se vienen cumpliendo, como la nivelación salarial progresiva de 12 puntos adicionales a los demás trabajadores del Estado hasta 2019 y el ascenso en el escalafón docente.
Insistió en que en este momento no hay necesidad de un paro porque el Gobierno está cumpliendo con sus compromisos, ha habido avances en la negociación (ya se lograron 11 preacuerdos) y se sigue dialogando.
“Seguimos haciendo un llamado a Fecode para que levante el paro. No hay necesidad de este cese de actividades y menos ahora que hay propuestas adicionales del Gobierno sobre la mesa. Fecode dijo que levantaba el paro cuando se abordara el tema económico y ya lo estamos haciendo”, manifestó Giha.
Finalmente, la Ministra de Educación invitó, una vez más, a Fecode a concretar la negociación y a que se levante lo más pronto posible el cese de actividades que está afectando el derecho a la educación de más de 8 millones de niños.
La inversión en educación es la más alta del presupuesto nacional. Este año es de 33,8 billones de pesos, de los cuales $26 billones se destinan para cubrir gastos asociados al magisterio.
