La Contraloría General de la Nación declaró de impacto nacional toda la contratación que por más de $1.1 billones realizan, desde el año 2014, las firmas que componen la Unión Temporal Centros Poblados.
Por consiguiente, La Unidad de Investigaciones Especiales contra la Corrupción abrirá indagaciones preliminares por estos hechos.
Esa investigada se basa en la pérdida del anticipo de más $70 millones que recibió la UT para ejecutar el contrato 1043 de 2020 buscaba llevar internet a zonas rurales del país.

El Despacho del Contralor General de la República, con base en el inciso segundo del artículo 128 de la Ley 1474 de 2011 “por la cual se dictan normas orientadas a fortalecer los mecanismos de prevención, investigación y sanción de actos de corrupción y la efectividad del control de la gestión pública”, adoptó la decisión de Declarar de Impacto Nacional los hechos relacionados con la planeación, ejecución, así como la supervisión e interventoría de los contratos en los cuales, en calidad de contratistas, se encuentran directamente o a través de consorcios y uniones temporales estas empresas que son miembro de la UT Centros Poblados.
