Luis Enrique Dussán, el candidato a la gobernación del Huila por un movimiento ciudadano llamado “Huila Crece” pertenece al centro político, pero ha formado una gran coalición de centroizquierda a la que han llegado todas las fuerzas progresistas del departamento. De ella hace parte el partido liberal, el sector progresista del partido conservador liderado por los exgobernadores Jaime Bravo y Juan Cárdenas, el exparlamentario Carlos Augusto Rojas y los exalcaldes Pedro Martín Silva y Cantalicio Cárdenas, los dirigentes del Partido de la U. Héctor Javier Osorio y Octavio Cabrera Cante, todo el bloque de partidos alternativos incluyendo la Alianza Verde, el Polo Democrático, la Unión Patriótica, la Colombia Humana y Mais. Entre los más importantes personajes de la vida nacional que respaldan su candidatura están Humberto de la Calle, Sergio Fajardo y Gustavo Petro. Por esta razón algunos personajes de la extrema derecha huilense comienzan sindicarlo de castro chavista, de igual manera a como calificaron a Juan Manuel Santos y su gobierno por haber promovido el acuerdo de paz con las FARC. Para esa derecha fascistoide es inaceptable el pluralismo ideológico, político y cultural. Pero esa es la realidad colombiana. Somos un país con diversidad de partidos políticos, creencias religiosas, diversas filosofías y multiplicidad de razas y etnias. Si queremos vivir en paz y felicidad debemos aprender a respetarnos en nuestras diferencias.
Para la Unión Patriótica en el Huila, estas alianzas políticas pluralistas no son extrañas. En el año 1986 pactamos la primera alianza con el liberalismo de Guillermo Plazas y Julio Enrique Ortiz que obtuvo la más alta votación en la región (hoy extrañamente Julio Enrique y Consuelo González apoyan al candidato conservador uribista). En el año 1990 pactamos una alianza en Neiva con el conservador progresista Luis Alberto Díaz Méndez que resultó triunfadora. En el 2003 nos aliamos con el liberalismo para llevar a la gobernación a Rodrigo Villalba que también resultó triunfador. Todas esas alianzas se hicieron sobre programas impulsores de la paz, la democracia participativa, el pluralismo ideológico, la búsqueda de la equidad social, la defensa de los derechos humanos, la priorización de la inversión en educación y salud. En todos los casos hubo cumplimiento de los compromisos por las partes firmantes de los acuerdos y es una muestra del desarrollo de una cultura política moderna en el Huila.
Luis Enrique Dussán, como líder de esta alianza tiene la formación académica, la experiencia política, el talante democrático y la responsabilidad ética, para llevarla triunfante este próximo 27 de octubre y ejecutar el ambicioso programa de gobierno inscrito en la Registraduría.
