La unidad móvil consta de un vehículo tipo Van, equipado con un analizador de gases emitidos por vehículos accionados a gasolina y las motos 4 tiempos y un opacímetro para monitorear vehículos que emplean Diésel.
Los operativos se realizarán en la vía pública en coordinación con las Secretarias de Movilidad, pretendiendo concientizar, a los conductores, sobre el mantenimiento preventivo de vehículos y el apoyo a preservación de las condiciones del aire.
Cuando la emisión de gases no se encuentre dentro los rangos permisibles, se recurrirá a un proceso sancionatorio por parte de la Secretaría de Movilidad como entidad competente, y a través de los agentes de tránsito se impondrá la sanción correspondiente.
LA NORMA
La resolución 910 de 2008 “Por la cual se reglamentan los niveles permisibles de emisión de contaminantes que deberán cumplir las fuentes móviles terrestres, se reglamenta el artículo 91 del Decreto 948 de 1995 y se adoptan otras disposiciones”, establece en su artículo 15 que en ejercicio de la función legal de vigilancia y control, autoridades ambientales competentes, realizarán operativos de verificación de emisiones a las fuentes móviles en circulación, en conjunto con las secretarías y demás organismos de tránsito departamentales, distritales y municipales, cuando menos cada dos meses dentro de su jurisdicción, siguiendo los procedimientos establecidos en el Capítulo III de la presente resolución, e impondrán sanciones conforme a la facultad dada por la ley para cada autoridad.
